This house has always stopped passers-by in their tracks, and it earns extra attention amongst local people now, following some extravagant enhancements. Its old windows were removed by our team, and we replaced them with the very latest energy efficient windows, boasting an unmissable leaded effect. Knowing that the windows will be a permanent feature for years to come, the customer opted for a finish that’s never likely to become outdated – pure cream – formulated with the use of white and brown shades.
The windows are brilliantly in keeping with the age of the house, and the leaded strips are somewhat responsible for that. If you view the windows internally, you get to see the period-inspired handles. They’re as stylish as the handles found on the similarly cream-coloured French doors. There wasn’t the depth of space that you often get for a French door installation, but that didn’t deter us from fashioning a suitable design. They are in frequent use as the householder and their family like to escape into the maze-like garden.
